Working mode of industrial switches
Industrial switch, also known as industrial Ethernet switch, is used in the field of industrial control Ethernet switch equipment. Because the network standard is open, widely used, can adapt to low temperature and high temperature, strong electromagnetic interference resistance, salt spray resistance, strong shock resistance. Its use of transparent and unified TCP/IP Ethernet has become a major communication standard in the field of industrial control.
Industrial Ethernet switches are the most widely used and cheapest industrial Ethernet switches. The grades are complete. Therefore, they are widely used in large and small Lans. Industrial Ethernet switches usually have a few to dozens of ports. Industrial Ethernet switch is actually a multi-port layer 2 network device based on bridge technology. It provides a low latency and low cost channel for forwarding data frames from one port to any other port. In addition, its port rate can be different, the working mode can also be different, such as 10M, 100M bandwidth, half duplex, full duplex, adaptive, etc.
I. Working mode of industrial switch:
Industrial Ethernet switches are data link layer machines, Ethernet uses physical addresses (MAC addresses), 48 bits, 6 bytes. The way it works is that when a broadcast frame is received, it will be forwarded to all ports except the receiving port. When a single frame is received, it checks the destination address of the frame and corresponds to its own MAC address table. If the destination address exists, the frame is forwarded. If there is no broadcast, if there is no host MAC address and the destination MAC address of the frame are the same, the frame is discarded. If the hosts are the same, the host is discarded and the MAC address is automatically added to the MAC address table.
Industrial Ethernet switches are divided into conflict zones and each port is an independent conflict zone. If each port sends a large amount of data, the port will first store the received data waiting to be sent in a register, and then send it when it is turn to send.
